It didn’t matter that they cost us a small fortune to own and proudly wear, we bugged our parents endlessly to get them for us. It’s actually not like I was a rich 16 year old, but seemingly it was the “in” thing to wear and showed style and status. However, they have rather a lot of competition and quite a few people are not putting such importance on what brands they’re wearing these days. There are so many other things to stress about in the world right now, I’d hope that a few folk spend more time thinking about more crucial things than what label is on their jeans.
Naturally, we all are familiar with the ever so engaging models that Calvin Klein plasters all over the bulletin boards. Never mind the fact that we all don’t have the same bodies that these models do. AsI get older, i definitely am not able to fit into the same style and size of jeans or clothing that I once was able to. Perhaps that dreary issue becomes much more unimportant when you leave your college days behind and see that real life doesn’t judge you by the type of jeans you are wearing. When I’m going shopping, I must admit – I continue to cruise through the various brand names and see what’s on sale. Calvin Klein jeans are normally not on sale, but once in a while a sale can be found on them. It is those deals I’m nearly convinced to try a pair on and get them, just to relive some of my youth.
The real world always reminds me that I have vastly more critical things to spend my cash on besides Calvin Klein jeans. The teenager that dwells in me wants to be cool once more. The grown-up that dwells in me reminds me that they will probably not fit me anymore and I should merely keep to what I have shown to be effective for my size and my budget.
