Dry skin is most of the time quite sensitive, making it difficult to take good care of when it comes to men’s skin care. The feeling of tightness comes with dry susceptible skin because it has deficiency in terms of lubrication and have the tendency to develop into expression lines that would lead to the formation of wrinkles. In addition to this, these particularity of the skin makes one more likely to be exposed to damage of the capillaries, allergic reactions, rashes and sudden flushes. Therefore, the caring for dry susceptible skin could be at times a great challenge. It’s worth noting that this kind of skin condition will affect everybody, and it doesn’t matter what age, gender or race they belong to.

Choosing the moisturizing, cleansing and makeup products has to go through rigorous steps when you have dry susceptible skin. First of all, there’s a need for you to minimize the number of products you apply on your face; the more the chemicals you’re being exposed to, the higher the risk of developing irritations. All products that you use for skincare should be fragrance-free and hypoallergenic so that you won’t be able to develop any red irritation blotches. The foundation and blusher could impose some problems for dry susceptible skin.

Never use too much make-up in order to allow the skin to breathe adequately. Always choose an oil-free and hypoallergenic item. The blusher or foundation should be water-based in order for the pores to be unclogged. Take note that dry susceptible skin shouldn’t be applied with any kind of oil-absorbing foundations as they dry the skin by eliminating the excess of sebum.

The use of astringents and exfoliants is not recommended for dry susceptible skin use as they can irritate the thin epidermis. We could say the same about cleaning: never over-wash your face as this will eliminate the natural oils that lubricate the tissues, resulting to the acceleration of skin dryness. Furthermore, ensure that the daytime moisturizer you use has an incorporated SPF (sun-protection factor) that’s around 15. But sunbathing is not a good outdoor pastime for people with dry skin.

In men’s skin care, never expose a dry susceptible skin to the sun for tanning purposes as it would result to premature aging and other serious health problems. And last but not least, one must be careful when changing from one cosmetic product to another. When you have made up your mind in choosing a different skincare brand, test out the product by applying it to a small portion of the skin to check whether or not you have any allergic reactions to it.
