In an attempt to make his team better, Buttermaker invites his ex-girlfriend’s daughter, Tatum O’Neal’s, character, Amanda, to play for the team, since she is he knows she is an amazing pitcher. Buttermaker also decides to recruit a troublemaker boy named Kelly, who one of the best batters. Buttermaker also actually tries to teach the kids, instead of sitting in the dug-out drinking his beer and smoking his cigarettes.

With the help of Amanda, Kelly and their Coach Buttermaker, the team starts to improve and they make it to the finals of the little league tournament. However, after their star pitcher, Amanda, gets injured, the team is defeated by the Yankees in the final, but Buttermaker decides to teach the kids a valuable lesson. Buttermaker tells the boys and Amanda that it doesn’t matter that they lost as long as they tried their hardest . It is at this point that Buttermaker finally realizes the meaning of being a good coach and the kids learn the importance of giving something your best effort. The ending scene of the film shows the Bears starting a fight with the boys on the Yankees team and a threat that the Bears will beat them and win the league in the next season.

The film is one of the greatest movies of all time because of its’ humor and how it portrays the extremes at which parents will go to have their children’s teams win in sports. A newer version of this film was made in 2005, but it was just not the same as the original.

The film opens with three men who are taking their best friend to “Sin City” for his Bachelor Party. After getting ready to go out, the four best friends go out to the roof of their hotel and toast to a night they will never forget. Then, the screen turns to white and it turns into morning in the city.
One of the men, Stu, wakes up to find their hotel suite in ruins and quickly awakens the other guys . None of the groomsmen appears able to remember what had happened the previous night. In the mean time, Alan, goes to the restroom and realizes there is a tiger sitting in their bathroom. Quickly, the three friends realize the groom is missing in action so, they start looking for clues since none of them can remember what happened. Phil sees he has a wristband from the hospital, so the three men try their luck at the hospital, but when they give the valet their ticket, he brings them a police car. The men take the car anyway and continue to the hospital to try to figure out what happened.

At the hospital, the doctor tells the guys that there were four men when they all came to hospital in the middle of the night. He also tells them they had just come from a wedding and the doctor try to tell them how to get to the wedding chapel.
The guys go the wedding chapel and are told that Stu got married to stranger and Doug, the groom, was indeed with them during the wedding. So, the men go to Stu’s new wife’s apartment to see if she remembers anything. She says she doesn’t know what the guys did after they left her, but their visit interrupted when the police officers come into the apartment to arrest the three guys for stealing the cop car.

At the police station, Phil is able to fast talk his way into a deal, where the guys go free if they demonstrate how a tazer works in front of grade school children who are at the police station for a tour.

After many more funny disasters , the three guys are able to find their missing groom and get him to his wedding on time, where Doug vows he will never do anything similar again as long as he is married to his new wife.
The Hangover is a surprisingly witty and extremely humorous film. The name does not do the film justice . If you see The Hangover , be prepared to laugh out loud at the outrageous events that occur in the film.
