Born in Feb. 23, 1983 in London, England, the proper British lady was one of four children in a family headed up by her barrister father and teacher mother. Singing, cello, and riding horses were some of her childhood skills. In her teens, she switched her focus, studying acting in London and beginning her long history of playing strong, confrontational young women, starting with her memorable turn as Juliet in Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet” at the Chichester Festival in 2002.what film did emily blunt have a lesbian affair Before that she made her debut on the stage opposite Dame Judi Dench in Sir Peter Hall’s 2001 production of ‘The Royal Family’.

With “My Summer of Love”, Blunt broke through with a role of a character involved in an eccentric romance. Although that film won a BAFTA, the real star was Emily, which lead her to more substantial roles. She played a vestal virgin with psychic abilities in the overripe ABC historical miniseries “Rome” in 2005, and gained more positive reviews when she starred opposite Susan Sarandon and Sam Neill in the Australian film “Irresistible”, in which she played a young woman whom an overworked Sarandon believes is attempting to seduce her husband.

Blunt came back to BBC to work on such projects as “Gideon’s Daughter”, playing the main role in this Stephen Poliakoff drama.

Blunts career was launched by “The Devil Wears Prada”, shooting her into the starlight; her stint as Emily and her work alongside Anne Hathaway really helped the film gain publicity. Truth be told, people frequently thought she was the best thing about the movie. Blunt was surprisingly honest when describing her experiences in Hollywood to the media when interviewed for this movie. She confessed, in an interview with Craig Ferguson, that one of the producers wanted her to lose weight for the part, which she didn’t do.

Blunt has been involved in several films including “The Great Buck Howard,” which included Tom Hanks and John Malkovich. After meeting Michael Buble after one of his concerts, the in-demand actress from London made the celebrity gossip pages after they found about her relationship with him.

In a film as rich with larger-than-life performances as “The Devil Wears Prada,” English actress Emily Blunt managed to steal every scene she was in from cinematic veterans Meryl Streep and Stanley Tucci with her icy portrayal of Streep’s high-strung senior assistant in the 2006 film.
